CHICAGO MAGIC IN THE NEWS

U14 & U13 boys to compete at Super Y-League Nationals
U13 boys will travel to Tampa, FL this November to compete in the Super Y-League National Finals. Under 13 boys finished a perfect 10-0 during
the regular season. “We really enjoyed the experience and the combined North & South roster showed amazing maturity for 12 and 13 year old
kids. Most of the players had to assume different roles in the team, accepted those roles, and played outstanding.” Said Head Coach Karl Smith.

The U14 boy’s Journey to the Finals was not as easy. U14’s needed a win in the final game of the season against Ft. Wayne Fever, who also
needed to win to advance. Alberto Martinez scored 2 crucial goals in the second half after a red card reduced the Magic to 10 men. “Beto always
seems to score big goals for his team in crucial moments.” Said Karl Smith “He did it in Dallas Cup, the State Cup Final, and today where
everything was on the line.”

College this past summer. Players and Coaches participated in drills and exercises that are being used on a regular basis at the Manchester
United Academy. “As a coaching director, I work to stay current on new methods of youth training and try to provide our staff with new ideas they
