United Soccer Leagues has announced that Chicago Magic player Antonio Schneider (Crystal Lake) will be traveling to London, England this March to train with the youth academy at West Ham United. 12 elite-level Super Y-League players from the 2008 Olympic Development Program (ODP) National Camps will participate in a unique undertaking with the storied youth academy. This venture furthers the ongoing mission to develop an international platform for foreign clubs to connect with the North American game and provide the best opportunities for USL players with professional aspirations.


The West Ham United youth academy is recognized as one of the most successful youth soccer programs in the world. West Ham has developed such talents as Joe Cole (Chelsea), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), and England Legend Bobby Moore.
